Financial Solutions Today

Nothing endures but change. ~Heraclitus

Time flies so fast. We have witnessed a massive transition of almost everything manifested right before our naked eyes.

Observe in the table below some of the changes in our way of life:

Before
Now

typewriter

computer

snail mail; telegram

e-mail(electronic mail), social networking sites (facebook, friendster, multiply, twitter, etc.)

long distance telephony

mobile phones

pepsi, coke, etc.

Coffee because of Starbucks

betamax, VHS

DVD, USB

cassette tapes, cassettes

itunes because of ipod/itouch, mp3/mp4 players

Traditional way of saving

Traditional way of saving

All has changed except for our saving habits. Our attitude towards handling and growing our money remains the same. We tend not to learn and migrate for a better change. We choose to be innocent rather than educating ourselves financially. With this scenario let us compare why we need a change to provide solutions for a changing world.

It wasn't all that many years ago that with a little hard work and careful budgeting, most families could realize their dreams of buying their own home, sending their children to college or retiring in relative comfort. Not many years ago a parent can raise ten(10) children. Now the ten(10) children cannot raise a parent. And a couple today, both working can hardly raise two(2) to three(3) kids.

Many more are expected to be trapped in an endless cycle of financial frustration. And if they do not shift their pardagims fast enough & quickly learn financial solutions, he is likely to put his future and that of his loved ones in great jeopardy.

Let's reevaluate our financial strategy. Check if the financial solutions used by our grandparents are still applicable today. We are now living in a fast changing world. A changing world requires changing solutions... we need a new solution! We need to increase our financial intelligence and we need to know how to process the information into useful knowledge and put it to our advantage!

You cannot control our country's economy, but you can control your own economy!
You cannot control our country's financial future, but you can control your own financial future!
You cannot control the money market fluctuations, but you can profit on these fluctuations!

Taking control of your financial future starts with Understanding!
Understanding starts with Financial Education!

People are scared to seek financial advice as some group may take advantage of them. People simply don't know where to begin...

IMG is committed to help Filipino families increase their Financial intelligence...No Families Left Behind! To deliver the financial education on a massive scale, we established the Wealth Academy Program...a learning series to help people increase their financial intelligence! The training series is developed to adapt to local culture and market conditions...to help Filipino answer the crucial questions in their quest to financial freedom!

Where are you now:? Net worth
Why you are where you are now? Cash Flow
Where do you want to be? What do you want?
How to get what you want? PFS(Personal Financial Strategy)
Can you get what you want? Financial Check-up
How financially healthy are you?
How to increase your financial intelligence?

How to get into financial Industry?
How to by-pass the middleman?
Why most people cannot increase their cash flow?
Why very few people can get what they want?
Why very few people achieve financial freedom?
Why rich gets richer and poor gets poorer?
Who is winning the money game, you or the financial experts?

Give And Save As Much As You Can

My experience was that the less I spent on myself and the more I gave to others, the fuller of happiness and blessing did my soul become. ~Hudson Taylor

Live simply so that others may simply live. The reasoning makes sense. Content yourself by buying less expensive but equally quality things and delight the rest in giving. With giving, there's an immense pleasure. You'll find that the empty thrill of owning a diamond ring on your finger pales in comparison to the joy of handling a piece of bread to an orphan.

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. ~2 Corinthians 9:8

The more you give,  the more you receive. But don't just give in order to receive. It's important to give because it's right to give.

"Tithe if you love Jesus. Any idiot can honk!"

The Old Testament law of tithing, or giving 10% of your income, is a good guideline to follow. The New Testament challenges us to give with a cheerful heart. When you're cheerful, you may give more than 10%!

Make it a  habit.

Give as much as you can - If you think your budget won't allow it, try a small token. Give it regularly. And then make it grow as you start living simply.

Not only that, do yourself a favor - Save as much as you can. Learn how to save the right way.

If the goal is to give 10% to God, and it is, why not dignify yourself with an equal portion? Ten percent is yours to keep. ~Mary Hunt

Save at least 10% of your income. Sacrifice. Many of our needs are actually wants. Saving tames your I-Want-To-Have-It-Now monster.  It settles your spirit and makes you more confident about yourself and your future.

Do you have a formal savings program? Make a decision now to set aside 10% of your income, let it accumulate and never touch it except for real emergencies.

Giving and receiving a hundredfold blessing is a supernatural activity. Be generous. Life is a mirror. If you smile at the mirror, the mirror will smile back at you. If you frown, the mirror will frown back. The universe operates like a giant mirror. What you give, you receive.

Save.Pay yourself first - have a dignity for yourself. Save the right way. Save long-term for your future and save for emergencies to come.

The more you have saved, the more you have to give. If you give more, the more blessings you will receive to save. See, It always works both ways.

Curious about this song.  This has been my LSS for the past days - blame it to my sister. :)

Here it goes. Enjoy.

Oh-oh-oh-oh-oooh-oh-oh-oooh-oh-oh-oh-oh!
Caught in a bad romance
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oooh-oh-oh-oooh-oh-oh-oh-oh!
Caught in a bad romance

Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah-ah!
Roma-roma-mamaa!
Ga-ga-ooh-la-la!
Want your bad romance

Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah-ah!
Roma-roma-mamaa!
Ga-ga-ooh-la-la!
Want your bad romance

I want your ugly
I want your disease
I want your everything
As long as it’s free
I want your love
(Love-love-love I want your love)

I want your drama
The touch of your hand
I want your leather-studded kiss in the sand
I want your love
Love-love-love
I want your love
(Love-love-love I want your love)

You know that I want you
And you know that I need you
I want it bad, your bad romance

I want your love and
I want your revenge
You and me could write a bad romance
(Oh-oh-oh--oh-oooh!)

Want you in my rear window
Baby you're sick

I'm a freak bitch, baby

I want your love and
I want your revenge

I don’t wanna be friends

Je veux ton amour
Et je veux ta revanche
Je veux ton amour
I don’t wanna be friends

Be Creative Savers

Most of us ignore the value of saving because of the lack of knowledge on how to do it.

In contrary to what have been impressed on our mind that we can't save because our earning is too small or just enough to suffice our needs, that we still have lots of financial responsibilities to address to, that we are in the midst of financial crisis; this article will surely help you on how to find a way to surpass all these challenges and become a saver.

An excerpt from the book - Simplify And Live the Good Life by Bo Sanchez.

You lazy people can learn by watching an anthill. - Proverbs 6:6

Here are a few great ways to save up for your future and become good stewards of your resources.

1. Automatic Savings

If you can arrange this with your employer and/ or your local bank, you can ask them to regularly set aside a certain amount of your monthly salary for your savings - before you ever see it!

2. Save Your Raise

If your company gives you a raise, allot that additional amount to your savings account and live within your old paycheck. You'll see the fruits of this, even just after a year!

3. Keep Paying Loans After the Loans Are Paid Off

You've finished paying off the amortization of your car? Or the housing loan? Or that credit card loan? Good. Keep sending the same amount, not to the creditors but to your savings account!

 4. Hold On to Unexpected Cash

Receive a bonus? An overdue reimbursement from the office? A cash gift from Mom and Dad? Keep this in your savings account - not in your wallet - because all wallets have invisible holes and money kept in them has been known to vanish within 24 hours.

 5. Give up Expensive Habits

Imagine what you will save in one year if you give up smoking, buying Lotto tickets or eating an extra snack(that's not helping your health anyway).

 6. Sell Assets

You'll be freer if you sell all the clutter in your home - stuff that you no longer use! Liquidate. Get rid of that stuff.

Attitude Is Everything

Do you know the difference between a winner and a loser?

Have you wonder why people who went to the same school, attended the same class, had the same set of teachers, graduated the same year, some finished with flying colors but some did not? After graduation, some who graduated with honors are not successful in life but those ordinary people or even school dropouts become very successful and made it big?

Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao - WBO champion. Pound for pound king. From nobody become somebody. What made him a winner?

Winning and losing is not about what happens to you. It is how you react to what happens to you, especially when you have unexpected problems of any kind.

A winner and a loser feels the same way. They are two the same people reacting differently -  A winner just do what needs to be done until it's done. Winner always finds a way to win but the loser always finds a way to lose.

It's all about the attitude.

Attitude is the key to victory.
Just like a great building that stands on a strong foundation, so does success. And the foundation of success is attitude.

A study by Harvard University found that when a person gets a job, 85% of the time it is because of their attitude, and only 15% of the time because of how smart they are and how many facts and figures they know.

According to William James of Harvard University - "... human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes."

Let me end this article with a message from Charles R. Swindoll -

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it.

And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.”

Oh, my friend, it's not what they take away from you that counts.  It's what you do with what you have left.  ~Hubert Humphrey

The Best of Life

Sitting in a four-corner subjugating cube is so liberating. Empty thoughts express full meaning. The idea of how to overcome such feeling and turn it into something productive is delusional but challenging. Mind boggling events suddenly turn into life's greatest blessings.

To have come from a proletariat clan is not an excuse to be so feeble to not enjoy life's best perks. Nor it is the reason to blame somebody of what had happened to ourselves and to the people dearest to us. Questioning the turn of events will surely not alleviate our feeling of anxiety and hopelessness. Nor it will bring us to the pinnacle of our dreams. Obstacles are not placed on our way only to hinder us at no cost. They are not directed to us only to feel weak and helpless. They are life's precious gifts that can only be seen by those who have the courage to open and embrace it. Gotten from the hospital and underwent a major successful operation is a grace from God to have known a supportive family that stands still in the midst of misfortunes. Having a family member recovering from an accident that caused by an apathetic fellowmen is not a mishap. Count your blessings over misfortunes. Know that the best is yet to come...that you have a BIG GOD... Go on... move on... keep smiling... keep shining... Experience life's amazing grace... It is indeed a BLAST...

Enjoy...
