Do you know the difference between a winner and a loser?
Have you wonder why people who went to the same school, attended the same class, had the same set of teachers, graduated the same year, some finished with flying colors but some did not? After graduation, some who graduated with honors are not successful in life but those ordinary people or even school dropouts become very successful and made it big?
Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao - WBO champion. Pound for pound king. From nobody become somebody. What made him a winner?
Winning and losing is not about what happens to you. It is how you react to what happens to you, especially when you have unexpected problems of any kind.
A winner and a loser feels the same way. They are two the same people reacting differently - A winner just do what needs to be done until it's done. Winner always finds a way to win but the loser always finds a way to lose.
It's all about the attitude.
Attitude is the key to victory.
Just like a great building that stands on a strong foundation, so does success. And the foundation of success is attitude.
A study by Harvard University found that when a person gets a job, 85% of the time it is because of their attitude, and only 15% of the time because of how smart they are and how many facts and figures they know.
According to William James of Harvard University - "... human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes."
Let me end this article with a message from Charles R. Swindoll -
“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it.
And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.”
Oh, my friend, it's not what they take away from you that counts. It's what you do with what you have left. ~Hubert Humphrey
